Phils come home after 3-4 West Coast Trip

It wasn't the Phillies pitching that was a problem this past week on the West Coast trip in Arizona & San Fran, it was knocking runners across home plate. The Phillies have a day off before they start a 6 game home stand with 2 teams that are fighting for a spot in the playoffs. First up they face the Colorado Rockies who are battling for that last wild card spot with the Giants. Then we face our division foes the Florida Marlins who we currently hold a 5 game lead on. Over the weekend newly aquired pitcher Cliff "General" Lee looked untouchable throwing a no-no through 5 1/3 innings and only allowing 1 run during his complete game. Cole Hamels didn't look so good yesterday getting roughed up and pulled in the 5th. This was Hamels first bad outing in over a month so hopefully this was just a little bump in the road to October. Joe Blanton has been pitching like an ace as of late and went head to head with pitching phenom Tim Linecum. Blanton pitched well but the Phils couldn't knock in any runs against the Cy Young pitcher even after succesfully hitting the ball against him. Well the Phils fly back to the east coast and head home to CBP with Jamie Moyer(10-7) on the mound against Jason Hammel(5-6) Tuesday night in South Philadelphia.
