When the Flyers signed goalie Ray Emery this offseason, everyone knew about his past troubles. Maybe what they didn't know is that Emery knows what Philadelphia fans love, and that is our own hometown hero's. Emery revealed his new goalie mask for the 2009-2010 season and painted on there is 3 of Philly's boxing legends including Bernard "the Executioner" Hopkins, Smokin Joe Frazier and the most famous fictional character in Philadelphia history Rocky holding the American flag after defeating Ivan Drago in Rocky IV. In the upcoming season there will be some ups and downs for the new goalie but Razor Ray Emery could bring back the style of play as one of the most beloved Flyers in franchise history....Ron Hextall. I am posting the over/under for fights that Razor gets in this year at 4. And yes I am praying for the over, along with him getting a ton of wins and leading this team deep into the playoffs and hoisting the Stanley Cup in the air at the very end. Welcome to Philadelphia Ray Emery, you definitely just gained some points with the Flyers faithful and you haven't even played 1 game yet.
